Snapshow
Everywhere 20 Oct 10
Saturday was one of those days. At sunrise it was 2 foot and not all that enticing. By 10 o'clock the offshore was howling and the swell was pulsing in.
By lunch, everywhere was on. Lots of barrels, piles of broken boards and stoked surfers all over the beaches.
The weathers been a bit up and down lately, can't wait for the warmth to hang around properly. Throw in a bunch of North swells and we're laughing.

Portrait:
This week meet Simon Anderson. Local, National and International surfing legend. Shaping guru. Pipeline master and the inventor of the Thruster.
What is your favourite memory growing up here on the Northern Beaches?
Funniest memory from your shaping and surfing career?
Best surf ever? Does one single surf stick out in your mind?
What are you riding these days? Most common two boards we would find you on?
Is there one customer (who stands out) who just never stops coming back to you for boards? Yes I have many standouts some are tough demanding hardcore local guys that really keep you on your toes, but the main one is Glenn Walsh a 60 year old NN grommet still with great enthusiasm for surfing and board design.
What is there outside of surfing that keeps you occupied and stoked? |
Doesn't seem like anything amazing is on its way to us in the next week or so. Friday looks fun 2-3 foot new south swell with NW winds. Could be interesting. Got some time, get out there for a wave, it's usually, always, 95% of the time worth it.
Have a great week. See you out and about.
Cheers,
AL.
